Impulsion - The Story

After many miles in many different saddles, uncomfortable riding jods and jeans, Jennifer-Ann Terry set out to develop a new riding pant from contemporary, purpose designed sport fabric that looked smart, felt comfortable and responded to the athletic demands of riders of all disciplines in all weathers.

Australian Merino fabrics SPORTWOOL™ fit the bill perfectly however in order to progress the product she had to prove to the company that equestrians were deemed ‘athletes’ in order to gain Sportwool licensing!

After rigorous trialing with several Australian manufacturers she started her own pant production company IMPULSION and now lives with her family in the midst of Tasmanian fine wool producing country, in Tasmania’s Southern Midlands surrounded by riders of all disciplines.

“I think its wonderful that the wool growers actually get to see their product used in a contemporary way and at an affordable price ” says Jennifer Ann.  “It is fascinating that other athletic pursuits – shearing and sailing have recognized the attributes of this product and I am now working to develop a range of pant for a broad market.

The IMPULSION pant is easy care, easy wear and the designs look great on all types of figures.

“I have been privileged to trial these smart, versatile pants for Jennifer-Anne,” says horsewoman Pru Cotton,  “I live in them!  I train, back horses, exhibit and work around the farm in them and then head off to town for meetings!”

The IMPULSION pant made from Sportwool TM fabric adapts to body temperatures, reduces moisture build up and has the stretch, stability and toughness required for hard working horse athletes.
